What to expect
Expect a full-on driving day on Wednesday, covering roughly 400km north from Perth with stops at working beaches and quirky landmarks. The Pink Lake (Hutt Lagoon) is the showpiece—bring a polarising filter or arrive at golden hour when the saline water glows coral-pink. The Pinnacles are eerie and vast; allow time to wander between the weathered spires. Sandboarding is optional ($10 hire) but the dunes are steep; skip it if your knees protest. Stargazing ($30) happens post-dinner with minimal light pollution. The second day retraces your route back south.

Pack light—vehicle space is tight for group travel. One carry-on or small backpack per person; oversized luggage may be refused.
