What to expect
You'll depart Perth by light aircraft, watching the coast unfold below—beaches, bushland, cliff faces and small settlements giving way to open ocean. The flight takes roughly 90 minutes each way. Once on East Wallaby, you have the run of the island: wade into shallow waters to snorkel (gear arranged if needed), lie on sand, eat lunch at a picnic spot, or simply absorb the isolation. The reef starts close to shore, so you needn't venture far to find life. Seals are common. Weather permitting, this is a low-stress, high-reward day.
Good to know
