What to expect

Your guide collects you and you'll spend four hours traversing rural Kalbarri in search of the best wildflower displays. The route covers up to 100 kilometres, so expect a fair amount of driving punctuated by stops to walk among the blooms and photograph them. Your guide will explain which species you're seeing, their local names, and why so many are unique to this region. You'll have time to move at a relaxed pace and absorb the scale of the seasonal colour. Morning tea breaks the journey, and the vehicle stays cool regardless of outside temperatures.

Wildflower season varies annually depending on rainfall; visit between August and October for best displays. Moderate fitness helps, as you'll walk across uneven terrain during stops. Bring sunscreen and a hat. Infants must sit on an adult's lap. Gratuities aren't included in the price.
