What to expect
You'll be collected from your accommodation in a comfortable air-conditioned vehicle for the drive north to Nambung National Park. The landscape gradually shifts from Perth's urban sprawl to bushland and coastal scrub. Once at the Pinnacles, you'll walk amongst towering limestone formations—some metres tall—sculpted over millennia from ancient seashells and sand. The terrain is manageable underfoot, and your guide adjusts stops and activities to suit your energy levels. Sand boarding offers a chance to slide down dunes. Bring a hat and sunscreen; the desert reflects intense light.
