Billabong Backpackers Resort Information
Billabong Backpackers Resort offers an outdoor pool and is located in the Mount Lawley Cafe Strip, 6 minutes from Swan River, or a 10 minute walk to the centre of the city.
Billabong Backpackers Resort can be reached in just 8 minutes by foot from NIB Stadium, which hosts a wide range of sporting events and concerts. Perth Arena is only 6 minutes away, while Perth Airport is just 15 minutes.
All rooms have air conditioning and a balcony. Each room has its own bathroom with a toilet and shower. Bed linen is included for free.
The communal lounge and kitchen areas have been refurbished for guests. On-site, there is a library, a pool table and shady outdoor areas where guests can relax or get a tan.
Billabong Backpackers Resort provides onsite laundry, free WiFi, simple breakfast every day, and helpful staff that is available 24 hours a day for your convenience.
Dormitory roomsare available in different sizes, so you can decide whether to share the room with more people or fewer depending on your style of travel. All Dorms come with their own bathroom and A/C, so you can stay cool. They also have a balcony where you can soak up the beautiful Perth sun. There’s a safe for all your valuables. Breakfast is included in all rooms.

Parking of 45 Spaces
Our 45 parking spaces are the cheapest in the area. Our parking rates are the lowest in the region.
En-Suite Bathrooms
Each room in our hostel has an ensuite bathroom. You won’t have to run naked to the shared bathroom with 40 other people. Your bathroom is only for you and your roommates. This is a nice little treat for travelers who have been traveling.
Free Wi-Fi
We offer free Wi-Fi in all common areas, as this is a necessity for backpackers. Check in at @billabongresort to have many #yolo experiences.
POOL AND DECK
Yes, that’s right. Perth’s largest and best backpacker pools will keep you cool on those hot Perth days. This is the hub of our activities and where you will be meeting new people soon.
Breakfast is FREE
Every morning, we offer a free simple breakfast. We have 3 cereals and milk for breakfast, toast, spreads, jelly, peanut butter, tea and coffee. You can eat all you want and it’s great for backpackers!
Terms and Conditions
The maximum stay at BILLABONG Resort is 14 nights.
Our international guests are the only ones who can stay in our dormitory rooms.
At Check-In, international guests must present a valid passport as proof of identification.
RESERVATIONS
Bookings made in advance are not legally binding until the Hostel confirms with the Guest and gives a booking reference.
The third-party website is the only place where you can cancel or amend a booking made.
Billabong Resort cannot guarantee room/bed allocations. We will do our best to accommodate all requests
We will try to group beds together when booking single beds. This may not be possible in all cases. Please contact the hostel to confirm bookings if needed.
Bookings for groups of 4 or more people must be made directly with the Reservations Team.
Rates are subject to change.
The Hostel will do everything possible to accommodate these requests.
Check-out is at 10:00 AM
Guests are asked to return their room key, bed linens (only for dorm beds), and personal belongings at this time. The $20 deposit will be returned to the guest if there are no further damages or charges.
Additional charges may apply if you wish to extend your check-out time. The customer will receive details of the charges at the time they request them. If a late check-out is not arranged, the customer will be charged an extra accommodation fee or their deposit forfeited if they do not check out by 10:00AM. If you request a late check-out after 12:00PM, the hotel will charge you for one full night of accommodation.
PAYMENTS
Payments must be made at the time of check-in, including a $20 Key Deposit. The deposit will be held until the end of your stay.
The check-in time for the hostel is 2:00PM. If you arrive before this time, luggage storage can be provided.
Please keep your keys on you at all times.
RESPECT
Billabong Resort has a zero-tolerance policy for in-house fighting and harassment. Guests are asked to leave the resort once staff have verified a complaint.
If the guests do not improve, they will be asked leave the property.
Billabong Backpackers Resort’s ‘Hostel Rules” are posted at the reception and in the main areas. Please read these rules carefully as a failure to comply with them may result in your eviction, loss of deposit and/or additional charges.
The guest will be responsible for any damage to the property that you or anyone else you invite in the property may cause. You may be charged for damages/call-out fees, which could lead to you being evicted.
ILLEGAL ACTIVITIES
Billabong reserves the right to notify police of any illegal activity that guests may engage in on Billabong’s premises. This includes:
Any breach of public health order, intentional damage to Billabong Resort or other people’s property, theft of personal items including food left unlabelled in guest kitchens, smoking and/or vaporizing in a no-smoking zone Interference with fire protection measures on the property.
No Shows and Cancellations Policy
Cancellations must be made 24 hours before arrival (by 2pm AEST the day prior to your check-in date).
If you wish to cancel or modify a booking made on external booking sites such as booking.com, Hostel World, and Agoda, please do so via their respective websites.
If you do not arrive by the specified date, your booking will be cancelled and a fee of the first night’s stay may be charged.

Public Transport The Transperth Bus 950 stops right outside our hostel. This bus can be taken from either the Elizabeth Quay Bus Station or the main city station. Bus 37, 40, or 380 will take you to Elizabeth Quay depending on the terminal that you arrive at.
Taxi/Uber : A Swan taxi will cost approximately $50.00 to the airport. $50.00. A rideshare costs approximately $35.00 $35.00. You can find both services at bus stops, train stations, and airports.
